The U.S. Department of Education Student Financial Aid Office offers information on types of financial aid and how to apply for aid so that you can go to college! Topics covered include:

The U.S. Department of Education also offers a Net Price Calculator Center. Students can search for any college and enter information about themselves to find out what students of similar backgrounds paid to attend the institution the previous year, after taking scholarships and grants into account. In general, this worksheet is a great way to compare the costs of several colleges.

BigFuture is a great resource for everything related to college preparation.  Students can research how to apply for financial aid and hear how other students have been able to afford college in the “Pay for College” section.  The website also features a Scholarship Search where students can look for a specific scholarship or submit information about themselves to see what scholarships they are eligible for.
